Board of Directors

Our Board of Directors works to advance the mission of the CHEER For Life Foundation by supporting the growth of our programs, stewarding the organization’s place in the community, and increasing our level of charitable contributions each year. These efforts include fundraising, beneficiary relations, fiscal oversight, and support of our many volunteers whose performances and fundraising activities enhance the lives of thousands of individuals in the communities we serve.

We are currently recruiting for new board members! If you are interested in joining our organization, please find more details about the role and application process here: cheerforlife.org/board-application

Anthony Chavira

President ・ he/him・ Email

A California native, Anthony has been in San Francisco since 2004 and now manages inflight operations at United Airlines. After joining CHEER SF as a volunteer in 2008, he eventually assumed the role of Program Director and for six years was responsible for the overall leadership, direction, and management of the team. He also serves as the president of the Pride Cheerleading Association and—somewhere in between all those responsibilities—enjoys time with his husband, son and dog.

Carmen Stockberger

Secretary・ she/her ・ Email

While a Hoosier at heart (Indiana, that is!) Carmen has called the Bay Area home for over five years. She currently serves as the Director of Student Engagement at Menlo College in Silicon Valley. In addition to her time as a performing member of CHEER SF, Carmen has assisted the organization with web design and events management. When not working or volunteering, she is likely to be found traveling or sampling new restaurants near and far.

Yuna Yi

Treasurer ・ she/her・ Email

Born and raised in upstate New York, Yuna is a Procurement and Production Manager at Rodan & Fields. She attended Syracuse University where, in addition to studying Supply Chain Management and Marketing Management, she performed on the cheerleading team—so joining CHEER SF in 2018 was a perfect fit. Outside of work and volunteering, she likes to indulge in San Francisco through food and wine, go on walks with her Boston Terriers, and explore new activities.

Chris Lintz

Board Member・ he/him ・ Email

Born and raised in St. Louis, Chris did a tour of duty on the east coast before the long Boston winters encouraged him to head westward. As the head of product at Hale Health, Chris directs the company’s product strategy, design, and development. He joined CHEER SF as a performing volunteer in 2007 and the CHEER For Life Foundation board in 2016.

Ray Pulmano

Board Member ・ he/him・ Email

A Bay Area native, Ray is the owner and head doctor at SF Custom Chiropractic Castro—as well as the onsite chiropractor for Equinox Van-Mission. He earned his BS in Biochemistry from UC Santa Cruz, where he was actively involved in the Filipino Student Association and Phi Kappa Tau fraternity. Ray joined CHEER SF as performing volunteer in 2021 and has spearheaded numerous fundraising events in the community. Despite being a committed cat dad, he is also an avid world traveler—having visited 31 countries and 5 continents to date.

Brittany Trammell

Board Member ・ she/her・ Email

Originally from Southern California, Brittany has always shared two passions: Cheerleading and Philanthropy. She earned her Sociology degree from UCLA, where she was also a cheerleader, and a Masters in Education from USC with a focus on serving low income students. In 2008 she moved to the Bay Area to expand her teaching career. Brittany quickly gravitated towards CHEER SF and has been a performing member—and current Head Coach—ever since. She loves nothing more than raising funds for those in need… except maybe her two beautiful children.

Nelson Norman

Board Member ・ he/him・ Email

Hailing form Oklahoma, Nelson moved to the Bay Area in 2014 and is a recent graduate of UCSC with a degree in robotics. He has a long cheerleading career that began in high school, took him to an all-star program, and continued through his time at Cameron University. Nelson has brought his skill and natural coaching ability to CHEER SF, assisting the coaching and artistic teams. Beyond his roles as husband and dog dad, he’s also a black belt in karate, amateur MMA fighter, and nanny.
